Two Horizons of Innovation
Digitizing the Legacy
Modernizing a 50-year-old post-production giant required a dual strategy: transforming the core business while simultaneously planting seeds for new growth.
First, we built nextLAB, digitizing the physical film pipeline into an on-set digital ecosystem that automated dailies for major studios. Second, we launched nextSPOT, leveraging that infrastructure to build a pure SaaS platform for high-velocity TV markets. This shifted the company from a traditional service vendor to a technology led product ecosystem.

Digital Transformation
The nextLAB Ecosystem
The challenge was physical: the industry was shifting to digital, but the workflow was stuck in the analog era. Directors were waiting 24 hours to see their footage.
We answered by building nextLAB, a mobile hardware/software ecosystem that brought the post-house directly to the set. By automating metadata ingestion and color pipelines in a unified interface, we reduced the creative feedback loop from days to minutes, becoming the standard for high-security productions at Disney, Warner Bros., Paramount, Universal, and Sony.
New Business Models
The nextSPOT SaaS Platform
Once the infrastructure was digitized, we identified an opportunity to unbundle the value. Large productions needed heavy iron, but the high-velocity TV market just needed access.
We built nextSPOT as a pure SaaS offering, allowing clients to upload, manage, and review content remotely without booking a physical facility. This pivoted the business model from one-off service fees to recurring subscription revenue, opening entirely new markets in unscripted TV and commercial production.

The Outcome
From Vendor to Strategic Partner
The transition from analog to digital destroyed many post-production houses. By pivoting to a technology-first strategy, we did not just survive the disruption. We led it.
This transformation repositioned the company from a commodity service vendor to an indispensable technology partner. We secured multi-year exclusivity deals with Warner Bros. and Sony, protected core revenue streams during the industry transition, and successfully embedded a modern software culture within a 50-year-old legacy organization.
